Flip's Reading Room
Walter Neal "Flip" Rosier, 1950-2015
My father, who, unfortunately, I never really got to know. So, to tell you who he was, in her own words, his widow, Elizabeth:
"Walter Neal Rosier II. No, Flip. This is more like him. He had a tattoo on his right arm with this nickname on, and this is the way he liked to be called. Who was Flip? Definitely not a people’s person. He hated crowds. He loved reading. It didn’t matter what it was he would read it. He would win any contest about movies, books, authors, songs and singers. He was good at that. He would sit down in front of the computer and read for hours, news, articles, technology, etc. I had the opportunity to read some of the stories that he wrote. All of them good ones. He wanted to write a book of short stories, but I guess he never had the courage to start it. I heard him say several times “I think I will start today”. But this “today” never came. He was a big man with a huge heart. He would have shared whatever he had with someone. His life was short but he left good memories to who were lucky enough to know him."
